This is the personal blog of Veronica Arreola: mom, feminist, Latina. I am actually pretty stoked on her reviews section where she suggests books for her readers. I hardly have time to read, but I'm always on the look out for new stuff that might be worth-while, especially about parenting (which she also has some suggested reads on). She is highly supportive of women's reproductive rights, and even asks that "in In lieu of cake, please donate to: Chicago Abortion Fund" for her birthday post.
She's also on the advisory board for "Bitch", which I had to investigate simply on the name alone. Bitch Media boasts the mission: " ...to provide and encourage an empowered, feminist response to mainstream media and popular culture." Which is a site in itself completely related to the feminist POV we are learning about in class! Upon further research trying to figure out why this so-called feminist website would want to be called something so wild, I learned "If being an outspoken woman means being a bitch, we’ll take that as a compliment."

I LOVE Bitch magazine!!! Yay that you found this via Veronica Arreola's blog too! Gosh, the internet is amazing isn't it? :) I think you are pointing to another great aspect of developing community too--whether it is online or in person--with the effort of sharing resources with eachother. I think this is so important especially concerning topics of feminist parenting, which can at times feel so isolating and challenging. Nice!
