National Organization for Women (NOW)

After visiting the National Organization for Women (NOW) website I realized the time, effort and hard work that these 500,000 activists are dedicating everyday is amazing. Looking at the history and what NOW has accomplished throughout the years is incredible.

I was particularly interested in seeing how NOW stood on the issue of abortion rights for women. After reading many of their articles such as “We Want Reproductive Justice NOW!” it only reaffirmed my belief that women should always have the right to safe and legal abortion, effective birth control, and emergency contraception.

This website is an outstanding resource for men and women wanting to support and promote equality and justice in our society. This website will also be a great source to refer back to frequently throughout the term because many of the issues NOW addresses are issues we already have or will talk about in this class.
